National Organization of Circumcision Information and Resources Centers (NOCIRC) - Pittsburgh Chapter NOCIRC of Pittsburgh is the local center of the national non-profit organization that promotes genital integrity for all children.  Greg Hartley, P.E. is the local director and Anthony Hovenden, M.D. is the medical advisor.

 on the University's St. Paul campus is committed to the development of community-based responses to crime and violence which strengthen community safety and social harmony.  Through restorative justice, victims, communities, and offenders are placed in active roles to work together to empower victims in their search for closure, impress upon offenders the real human impact of their behavior, and promote restitution to victims and communities.  Dialogue and negotiation are central to restorative justice, and problem solving for the future is seen as more important than simply establishing blame for past behavior.  Balance is sought between the legitimate needs of the victim, the community, and the offender that enhances community protection, competency development in the offender, and direct accountability of the offender to the victim and victimized community.

 The Family Bed and Little Koala and Amity's World are sites that will answer questions about co-sleeping with babies and young children.  Most places in the world do not expect children to sleep alone and in most cases co-sleeping is safer than separate rooms.  The circumstances where co-sleeping is contraindicated are listed, too.  Breast-feeding advice and other guidance for parenting young children and babies are also offered.

 The Natural Child Project and Motherwise and Mothering Magazine offer child-raising help in a natural mode for babies and other children.

 Group Against Smog and Pollution (GASP) is the oldest environmental citizen-action group in Pittsburgh.  EME's first cooperative venture with GASP was a presentation on alternative landscaping.
